Bad Habits-

Due to some of your bad habits, more air goes into your mouth. such as chewing gum or hard candy. The habit of eating food in a hurry also creates gas in the stomach. If you have a habit of chewing anything, it simply means that you are taking in extra air in your stomach which comes out from your body in the form of gas.

Drinking carbonated drinks-

Carbonated drinks like beer, soda etc. act to make gas in the stomach. If you like to drink carbonated drinks and you have a problem of gas mostly, then try drinking some plain drinks instead of these drinks, you will definitely feel the benefit. And with this you will understand the reason for the formation of gas again and again.

Keeping your mouth open while sleeping –

If you breathe or snore with your mouth open at night, you may swallow a lot of air throughout the night which can cause gas formation in your stomach the next day.

Due to wrong food –

Another reason for gas formation in the stomach can also be due to wrong food. Such as kidney beans, peas, potatoes, broccoli or leafy greens, pulses, fiber foods also make gas in the stomach. According to research, if we soak kidney beans or chickpeas in water for 12 hours, then they make less gas in the stomach. Sometimes gas is also formed due to not being able to digest the junk food properly.

Constipation or slow digestion-

If you have a problem of constipation and the food is going slowly in the intestine, then it is sure to cause gas in the stomach. When food remains in our stomach for a long time, the bacteria remain active for a longer time and make gas in our stomach. With increasing age, the digestion of our body slows down, which leads to the problem of excess gas formation. Medicines also sometimes become the cause of gas in the stomach.

Medical reason-

Ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, irritable bowel syndrome, diabetes, thyroid dysfunction or intestinal blockage can also cause gas in our stomach.

We have to face embarrassment many times due to frequent gas formation, but there is nothing to worry about it. Many times, if this problem is avoided, gas can also become a problem in certain situations.
